Refractory Firebox

Our one piece refractory firebox is a quick and simple solution to restoring an existing masonry fireplace that has deteriorated over time, where a new masonry fireplace is being constructed, or where one needs to be resized to accommodate a casting. These one piece firebacks are easily cemented into place within the existing brick chamber. Careful consideration must be given to the smoke chamber and throat of the chimney in order to insure that the proper draft is maintained. We recommend the use of a Lok top damper with these units, instead of an in-line damper.

These fireboxes will allow you to safely burn wood or coal, although their smaller proportions limit the size of a log that can be used.
